My new friend Peggy, from Chandler Writers Group handed out copies of The Ragman. Reading through it released a flood of memories from over twenty years ago. Our son, Todd, had lots of friends from the United Methodist Conference during High School. Together they did a youth program for the United Methodist Annual Conference in Salina, Kansas.
At the last minute, Norm and I decided to make the two hour trip to Salina to watch the service. That experience was one of those life moments I wanted to treasure in my heart. It was the first time I heard the story of “The Ragman.” I recall fighting back tears as I watched Todd, as Ragman, work together with his friends to act out the story.
As I reread the story of the Ragman today, I realized it is a story I want to live by. When you have ten minutes of quiet time, listen to His story. I hope it will touch your heart too.
May you be blessed,
